Student Rabbi
Dani Pattiz
Our New Student Rabbi
Dani grew up in Southern California in the warm arms of the Reform Jewish community. While she was close with her rabbis and loved Jewish summer camp as a teen, she came into her own as a Jewish leader during her undergraduate career at UC Berkeley. While pursuing a BA in psychology, Dani also deepened an already profound passion for Jewish life in her full-time position as teacher and youth director at Temple Emanu-El in San Jose. Now in her second year of rabbinical school, Dani is excited to take advantage of the rich education that HUC Los Angeles has to offer. In her free time, Dani loves to play ultimate frisbee, paint watercolors, and swim in the Pacific Ocean. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn with CBD, and looks forward to creating lasting connections with the community!
